Who Is GymCrafter?

Hi, my name is Tim Steward, and I’m just an average guy who works out at home so I can stay healthy, age well, and enjoy my life.

I got my first set of weights as a Christmas gift when I was in junior high. Now in my 50s, I’ve been training for almost 40 years—much of it at home. Along the way, I’ve also been lucky enough to train with some of the best coaches in the world.

In that time, I’ve also become a nationally certified personal trainer (NCCPT) and strength coach (CSCT) through the ISSA and hold national accreditations for both with the NCCA.

Calling on those years of experience and training, my goal is to give ordinary people easy-to-understand, real-world, accurate answers to any questions they might have about building a home gym or training at home.
