<p>At Acknowledgements, we understand how difficult it is to know what to say or do when a friend or loved one is grieving or experiencing difficult life transitions. The traditional gift of sympathy flowers has always been the easiest way to express condolences and we agree that flowers are a beautiful expression of sympathy, but a grieving loved one needs more.</p>
<p>Beyond your love and support, there are many ways to help a loved one heal; a piece of symbolic jewelry, a memorial garden that will continue to grow through the seasons, or a guided remembrance journal – each helpful in supporting the healing process, as well as sending the recipient your heartfelt condolences.</p>
<p>A unique and meaningful sympathy gift is not easy to find; everyone is different and the circumstances of their grief are unique to their life. We spent more than a decade designing gifts that offered a message of sympathy, provided lasting comfort and offered support for healing. While we no longer offer our gift line, we continue to support those who are looking for guidance.</p>

<p><em>My own personal experiences with grief, along with the many stories that have been shared with me, have shaped my great respect for the grieving process and influenced every aspect of the Acknowledgements sympathy gift line.</em></p>
<p><em>From the beginning, our goal was to create an alternative to sympathy flowers, a sympathy gift that would do two things: provide comfort and support to the grieving recipient, and help our customers send a gift and message that truly represented their sincere feelings of sympathy. With this in mind, we carefully designed a line of sympathy gifts that deliver support, comfort, and healing. </em></p>
<p><em>Acknowledgements no longer offers sympathy gifts for purchase, but continues its mission to make a very difficult situation a little easier.</em></p>
<p><em> </em><em><em>As you look through this site, you will find an assortment of sympathy gift ideas that will provide your loved one with comfort and encouragement on their journey through grief. It is my goal to provide information that will assist you in </em> delivering your message of sympathy.</em></p>
