I hope I have found the Mr. Baker Mitchell who wrote the on-line piece “LAST CHARGE” about William Hezekiah Mitchell 1839-1920 from Maury County, Tennessee.</p>
<p>By way of quick and brief introduction, my name is Peter Bertram and I research and write about Confederate medals, badges, ribbons, etc. I currently have two books on the subject in print and two more “in progress” (please see my website).</p>
<p>If you are indeed the Mr. Mitchell I seek I would like to very briefly correspond with you in the form of a couple questions and exchange of information.</p>

<p>I enjoyed reading your comments about Mr. Siegfried Englemann. I called him in July to tell him about the 3 boys “he” taught to read (my sons!). I also recently read his book Teaching Needy Kids in Our Backward System and have recommended it to several others.</p>
